C. 2nd-4th century AD
Rectangular bronze fitting with a raised umbonate central boss decorated with green; orange and blue enamelled squares and triangles. Two phallic studs; one either side of central boss protrude from main plate. There are three fixing/suspension loops on the top and bottom.
Good surfaces and patina with very good and almost complete enamelling. A small piece missing to one of the side triangles otherwise in superb condition.
