EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AMULET OF SEKHMET WITH HIEROGLYPHS

C. 715-332 BC – Late Period
An interesting amulet of the cat headed goddess Sekhmet; holding papyrus sceptre in her left hand with Uraeus above head and hieroglyphs to back.
Goddess of war and destruction whose name means; "The Powerful One”.
Small chip to base edge with good carvings to hieroglyphs.
