Roman Indented Glass Flask

C. 2nd-3rd century AD

A beautiful glass flask with an out turned rim and tubular neck with a long rectangular body with four elongated indents, and a silvery iridescence.

In excellent condition with slight earthy surface deposits.

Ref: Similar example in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 17.194.203.

Provenance: Deceased Estate of an East Anglian school teacher who later retired to the Isle of Wight. A keen collector and antiquarian who amassed a collection between the `1960’s-80’s.
