Item Description

C. 1352-1320 BC – New Kingdom, Amarna Period

A beautiful green glazed faience openwork Eye of Horus amulet with nice carvings to both sides within a frame with ragged edges.

Eye of Horus means: ”Whole One”. It is a symbol of protection and was believed to have healing powers.

Intact with some light earthy surface deposits and superb glaze with good detail. Nice example in excellent condition.
