Anglo-Saxon Small Bronze Decorated Long Brooch

Item Description

C. 6th century AD

A nice small bronze long brooch with a rectangular head plate, decorated with crescent shaped punch marks running along the inner plate, and circular perforations in the upper corners. The bow is arched with faceted corners and there is a raised moulding in the middle section of the footplate which is decorated with faint crescent shaped punch marks.

Although pin missing with slight porous surfaces, it has nice decoration.
