Bactrian Bronze Stamp Seal Depicting A Trefoil
Item Description
C. 2200-1800 BC
An interesting compartmented stamp seal, in the form of a trefoil, with three curving lines which meet in the centre. It is a flat face and flat back with a stalk handle with loop.
Intact and in very good condition.
Provenance: London Collection in 1990’s, accompanying letter seen by the late W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993.
