RARE Egyptian Bronze Khonsu With Inlaid Eyes
Item Description
C. 664-332 BC- Late Period
An Egyptian bronze figure of Khonsu the child with inlaid eyes, son of the deities Amun and Mut. He is depicted standing in mummiform position, holding a was-sceptre and flail in his crossed arms. He wears a composite headdress with a sun disc, horns and frontal uraeus. The sidelock worn just below the sun disk identifies him as a child god.
Uneven surfaces with small chip to sun disc otherwise intact with good detail and RARE.
