Egyptian Faience Amulet of Harpocrates

C. 733-30 BC – Late to Ptolemaic Period

A blue and green glazed faience amulet of Harpocrates (Horus as Child), holding his index finger to his chin. The deity is depicted standing over a small plinth, with one arm along his side and knees slightly bent.

Slightly chipped otherwise good colour and nice detail.

Provenance: H. N. Collection, Milton Keynes, collected in the 1980’s-90’s.

Size: 18mm Harpocrates.  31mm (stand included)
