Egyptian Faience Amulet of Isis Nursing Horus
Item Description
C. 713-332 BC- Late Period
A beautiful green glazed amulet of the goddess Isis seated on a throne, nursing her son Horus who is seated on her lap, and propped up by her left hand. She wears a crown composed of a solar disk framed by cow horns. Isis is commonly associated with birth and creation.
Excellent condition with a beautiful green glaze and nice detail.
Provenance: Ex J. Waring Collection, collected in the 1980’s onwards. Ex Coincraft.
