Egyptian Faience Bead Bracelet

Item Description

C. 1570-30 BC – New Kingdom to Ptolemaic Period

A beautiful restrung, elegant, Egyptian bead bracelet, composed of a selection of faience polychromatic beads, in a style inspired by the earliest royal bracelets known, (from about 3000 BC) which were found in the tomb of King Djer.

Faience is a glazed ceramic, produced from quartz or sand crystals mixed with other compounds. It produces vibrant colours and is finished with an alkaline glaze to surface. The Egyptians believe faience represents immortality and rebirth.

A beautifully restrung, wearable bracelet with a modern silver plated screw clasp and vibrant coloured beads.
