C. 1570-332 BC – New Kingdom to Late Period

A beautiful pair of Egyptian faience earrings consisting of a long turquoise tubular bead, with a small flattened disc-shaped bead in red featured above and below, and finished with a faience amulet coloured yellow and white, possibly representing a petal.

Faience is a glazed ceramic, produced from quartz or sand crystals mixed with other compounds. It produces vibrant colours and is finished with an alkaline glaze to surface. The Egyptians believe faience represents immortality and rebirth.

A pair of beautifully, restrung, wearable earrings with a modern silver plated fishhooks and vibrant coloured beads.
