C. 713-30 BC – Late to Ptolomaic Period

A green glazed faience amulet of Bastet in the form of a seated cat with suspension loop on the back. Bastet, the goddess of fertility and protector of pregnant women and young children. She also represented the healing power of the sun.

Repaired head with a nice green glaze and intact.

Provenance: Ex H. N. Collection, Milton Keynes, collected in 1980’s – 1990’s.
