C. 1570-30 BC – New Kingdom to Ptolemaic period

A beautiful pair of Egyptian faience earrings made from a nice selection of turquoise tubular beads, with small flattened discs in red between, typical of the New Kingdom period.

Faience is a glazed ceramic, produced from quartz or sand crystals mixed with other compounds. It produces vibrant colours and is finished with an alkaline glaze to surface. The Egyptians believe faience represents immortality and rebirth.

A pair of beautifully, restrung, wearable earrings with a modern gold plated fishhooks and vibrant coloured beads.
