A restrung Egyptian necklace consisting of a selection of small flattened, disc-shaped faience beads in red, blue, yellow, black and green, typical of the New Kingdom Period.

Faience is a glazed ceramic, produced from quartz or sand crystals mixed with other compounds. It produces vibrant colours and is finished with an alkaline glaze to surface. The Egyptians believe faience represents immortality and rebirth.

Faience beads restrung on cord with a modern silver plated screw clasp and vibrant coloured beads.
