Egyptian Steatite Scarab Amulet Dedicated To Ma’at

C. 1070 – 664 BC – Third Intermediate Period
An interesting blue glazed steatite scarab amulet with incised detail to back and hieroglyphs to base, depicting a seated female deity Ma’at. She wears a feathered headdress and holds an ‘ankh’ symbol to her knees which represents the symbol of life. Other hieroglyphs depicted are a uraeus with a sun disc above and a basket below the seated deity.
Although chipped it has excellent hieroglyphs and nice colour.
