Egyptian Hardstone Double Plume Amulet

Item Description

C. 1070–656 BC – Third Intermediate Period

An interesting green hardstone amulet possibly Jasper, in the form of a double ostrich feather. The front is flat with a central groove separating the plumes.

Small chip to the back with some surface deposits otherwise strong colour and in good condition.

Provenance: Ex H. N. Collection, Milton Keynes, collected in 1980’s – 1990’s.
