Visigothic Bronze Radiate-Headed Brooch
Item Description
C. 6th-7th century AD
An excellent example of radiate-headed brooch, with a semi-circular head with five projecting terminals leading down to a very slightly arching bow. This connects with a lozenge-shaped footplate with a projection and knob either side and ends in a triangular terminal.
Minor surface marks otherwise a nice example with smooth, dark patina. Pin missing.
