Greek Apulian Terracotta Red-Figured Lekanis

C. 4th century BC
A nice terracotta Apulian Lekanis with twin handles and lid, decorated with two elegant profiles of Lady’s of Fashion with a palmette panel between. The Lady’s of Fashion are each wearing a necklace, earring and stephane with their hair bound in a sakkos. There is a knopped finial decorated with a rosette and a band of linear decoration to the rim.
Small chip to lid and base otherwise intact with good colour.
