Greek Corinthian Pottery Lidded Pyxis

Item Description

C. 6th Century BC

An interesting pottery lidded pyxis with a bulbous body decorated with bands of red and black. It has a short foot and a round lid with spooled knob handle.

Small chip to body and foot rim otherwise intact.  Collectors old description ticket included.

Ref: Similar example in The British Museum, Registration number 1863,0728.65.
