Greek Gnathian Terracotta Olpe
C. 4th century BC
A nice black glazed terracotta olpe, with a grooved loop handle and a bulbous ribbed body, with white vine and ivy-trendil motifs to the neck. It has a flared rim and a flat circular base decorated with red painted concentric circles.
Small chip to rim some nicks to glaze otherwise intact with nice detail.
Provenance: Ex H. N. Collection, collected in the 1980’s-90’s.
