Large Decorated Luristan Bronze Short Sword
Item Description
C. 1800 – 600 BC
An exquisite decorated Luristan bronze short-sword, featuring a triangular blade, tapering to a point. It features a crescent-shaped pommel and a cylindrical hilt with four protruding concentric bands. It features crescent shape decoration below the hilt, with the decorated blade displaying a central midrib.
Slight damage to one corner of blade below hilt, with some green surface deposits, otherwise a fine example with detail. Stand included.
