Large Greek Gnathian Teano Ware Terracotta Dish
C. 4th century BC
A large Gnathian terracotta dish decorated with a garland of ivy and floral decoration to the interior. The centre is finely decorated with four stamped palmette design and a females head to the centre with red painted concentric circles, a band of waves and incised linear patterns.
Crack made in firing process otherwise finely decorated with good colour.
Old English Collection sold at the provincial auction in 2018.
