Medieval Bronze Brooch With Animal Head

C. 14th century
A bronze Medieval brooch decorated with a raised turret style, with a zoomorphic animal head terminal, with a free-moving central pin.
Brooches were used by both men and women, during the Medieval period and were very fashionable, with the buckle pinned at the neck as a fastener.
Intact with a nice dark patina and complete with original pin.
Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
