A flat, bronze medieval lozenge-shaped brooch with free-moving central pin.

Brooches were used by both men and women, during the Medieval period and were very fashionable, with the buckle pinned at the neck as a fastener.

Intact with some light earthy surface deposits, nice dark patina and complete with original pin.

Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
