An interesting bronze brooch decorated with a lizard to the right.

These annular form brooches were used by both men and women, during the Medieval period and were very fashionable, with the buckle pinned at the neck as a fastener.

Intact and of an interesting design, with crude detail and complete with pin.

Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
