C. 13th-14th century

A Medieval bronze ring brooch decorated with eight raised turrets, with two circular indentations between each turret. It also has a free-moving central pin.

Brooches were used by both men and women, during the Medieval period and were very fashionable, with the buckle pinned at the neck as a fastener.

Intact and in very good condition and complete with original pin.

Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
