Medieval Pilgrim Souvenir Openwork Pewter Rattle
C. 13th-14th century AD
An interesting Pilgrim souvenir in the form of an openwork rattle with fine incised detail and a barley twist handle. The rattle would have contained shells or pebbles.
Slight damage to rattle and shells missing otherwise has fine detail and rare to find in such good condition.
