Rare Chinese, Neolithic Pottery Painted Jar
Item Description
C, 2100 – 2000 BC
The vessel has strap handles on each side of the wide flared mouth and extends from the rim to the shoulders. Decorated with brown and red painted linear patterns around the body.
Chipped rim otherwise good strong colours remain and intact.
Provenance: Ex North London gentleman collection, collected in the 1980’s.
