Rare & Interesting Medieval Paper Bible Leaf

C. 13th century

An interesting and finely decorated page from a Medieval bible, which is written in a Medieval and Renaissance Gothic book hand-script called as ‘letter bâtarde’. The page features two columns of 43 lines of text and is highlighted with opulent liquid gold, red and blue pigments.

Small tear to edge otherwise is good condition and a rare example of a leaf produced in Britain.
