Roman Bronze Enamelled Peacock Brooch
Item Description
C. 2nd century AD
A cast bronze Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a peacock, with a tapered body and spread tail, with incised panels with traces of enamel in red and yellow to the tail. These would have been used to fasten garments.
Although pin is missing and it is a very nice example with good detail.
