C. 2nd century AD

A cast bronze Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a rabbit, with traces of orange enamel to the eye. These would have been used to fasten garments.

Although pin is missing and the majority enamel is missing, it is a nice piece.

Provenance: Ex Constable Collection, 1980’s to 1990’s.
