Roman Glass Millefiori Gaming Counter
C. 1st-4th century AD
Nice vibrant red glass millefiori gaming counter decorated with an intricate pattern of yellow flowers. This process involves arranging glass rods to form a pattern by fusing them together and drawing them out into a single long rod, which is then stretched and sliced into tiny rounds.
Intact with some chips to surfaces but good strong colours.
Collection of a Cambridge gentleman.
