Roman Glass Unguentarium With Iridescence

C. 1st-2nd century AD
A fine example of a translucent glass unguentarium featuring a small domed body, tall cylindrical neck and an out-sprayed folded rim. It has a flat base with a beautiful silvery iridescence to surfaces. These would possibly have been used to contain various ointments, medicine, cosmetics or perfume.
Intact with a beautiful silvery iridescence to surfaces.
