Roman Glass Unguentarium
C. 2nd century AD
A small translucent glass unguentarium with a tall neck leading to a small bulbous body, with a silvery iridescence to surfaces.
It was said that in ancient times, Unguntariums were used as tear-catchers for mourning loved ones.
Intact and in good condition with a nice iridescence.
Provenance: Property of a private collector aquired before 1975.
