C. 1st-2nd century AD

A Roman lead astragalus in the shape of a knucklebone. It is one of the most popular games of chance, used like dice or like jacks, thrown in the air and caught on the back of the hand. Original collection number ticket attached.

In good condition and an interesting piece.
