C. 2nd-3rd century AD

A fine Roman silver P-shape bow brooch featuring a high arched bow which extends from the perpendicular bar. It has a returned foot-plate which curves back and is attached to the bow with a silver coil.

Although footplate is bent, it is in an excellent example with pin intact.
