Roman terracotta oil lamp decorated with a hare to central discus within a grooved border and voluted nozzle and single, grooved handle. Maker’s mark to base which reads, “GABMERC”, which was an Italian workshop which was active in the Late Flavian to Early Antonine period.

Small filled crack to body near nozzle otherwise intact with stunning detail.
