Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp Decorated With Antelope

C. 2nd-3rd century AD

A nice Roman oil lamp decorated with a seated antelope to central discus and stylised flowers to shoulders, with a small looped handle and heart shaped nozzle to finish. The base is also decorated with incised concentric circles and linear patterns to base of nozzle.

Intact with good colour and detail.

Provenance: Ex B. C. Collection, collected in 1990’s.
