Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp Depicting Prancing Satyr/Faun
C. 1st-3rd century AD
A nice example of a Roman oil lamp depicting Satyr/Faun (part human part goat) to central discus and ovolo pattern to shoulders. The base is decorated with concentric circles.
Small chip to nozzle otherwise good detail with some light earthy surface deposits.
Provenance: From the collection of the Late G. C. 1916-2000.
