Item Description
C. 1st-2nd century AD
A nice Roman oil lamp decorated with floral motif to central discus, within an incised border. It has a pierced, loop handle to the back with incised linear patterns, and a rounded nozzle, which is separated from the discus by a horizontal line. Makers mark to base reads, “MNOVIVST”.
Slightly porous surfaces otherwise good detail and intact.
