Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp With Rosette
C. 1st-2nd century AD
A nice example of a Roman oil lamp decorated with a four-petal rosette, with four leaves are between, and volute motif to nozzle. The maker’s mark to reverse which reads, “AN”, and it has a short, rounded canal nozzle to finish.
Good condition with nice detail and some light earthy surface deposits.
