SCARCE Greek Terracotta Lagynos (Oil Flask)

Item Description

C. 8th century BC

An interesting terracotta Lagynos (oil flask) with a trefoil lip, conical neck and a long flat handle leading to a dome shaped body. It is decorated with black painted bands and crosshatched triangles to shoulders.

Slightly chipped with nice detail and a Scarce type.
