Small Decorated Medieval Silver Ring Brooch
Item Description
C. 14th century
A nice example of a silver Medieval brooch decorated with a chain design, and complete with a free-moving central pin.
These of annular form brooches were used by both men and women, during the Medieval period and were very fashionable, with the buckle pinned at the neck as a fastener.
Tip of pin is chipped otherwise nicely decorated and complete with original pin.
Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
