A example of an Apulian terracotta bowl decorated with incised palmette decoration to the centre over a red painted circle.
Slightly chipped glaze with fine incised decoration and intact.
Provenance: Ex A T Arber-Cooke collection, 1905-1993 and thence by family descent; collection acquired from the 1930s to the 1970s. Arber-Cooke was an amateur antiquarian and author of two books on British archaeology.
