Tudor Period Iron Scissors/Shears
Item Description
C. 16th century
A nice example of some iron scissors/shears made from one piece of metal, with two curved blades, joined by an iron bar which is curved around and slightly crimped to form an omega-shaped handle.
Intact with small chip to blade otherwise cleaned and conserved.
Provenance: Graham Slater collection, Cambridge, collected in the 1980’s-1990’s.
