A fine example of a large Italic bronze fibula with an arched body and a large oval catch-plate, and with two large rings mounted to the body, one of which is in the form of a spoked wheel.
A fine example with a patchy patina and intact.
Provenance; Ex Collection: Dr Wladimir Rosenbaum, 1894-1984 (Russia & thence Switzerland). Rosenbaum was a successful lawyer prior to opening Galerie Serodine in Ascona, Switzerland, trading in significant works of art and antiquities during the 1970’s.
