C. 9th-12th century AD

A North European bronze cross pendant with suspension loop and expanded circular terminals. It is decorated with yellow enamel and features five circular areas, which represent the five wounds Christ suffered during the Crucifixion.

Slight damage to one terminal with some enamel still remaining and an interesting piece.

Provenance: Ex H. N. Collection, Milton Keynes, collected in the 1980’s -90’s.
