Visigothic Bronze Radiate-Headed Brooch

Item Description

C. 6th-7th century AD

A nice example of a radiate-headed brooch, with a semi-circular head with three projecting terminals, leading down to a slightly arching bow with a central raised rib. The flat triangular footplate is decorated with incised linear patterns to the outer edge, and features curved projections at the top.

Although pin is missing, it has a smooth dark patina with good detail.
