Wilsnack The 3 Hosts & The Holy Blood Pewter Badge

Item Description

C. 15th century

The passion
The crucifixion
The ascension

In 1383, when the village of Wilsnack was burnt down, the parish priest claimed to have found three consecrated hosts, undamaged and marked with drops of blood, in the ruins of the church at Wilsnack, News of the miracles attributed to the bleeding hosts and the Holy blood attracted an influx of pilgrims.

Although slight chip to edge, it is intact with good detail and a nice example.
