EGYPTIAN COWROID OF PTAH WIITH HIEROGLYPHS OF RAMESSU II

C. 1293-1185 BC - Dynasty XIX; New Kingdom.
An interesting example of a steatite cowroid depicting Ptah to one side; an Egyptian deity worshipped as a creator god and patron of craftsmen. The engravings to base depict hieroglyphs of Ramessu II within a rope work border.
An unusual piece and an excellent condition.
